Often times we take things for granted…and most of the time, we simply just need to be grateful. Grateful for the things that we have been given by the Grace of God.
Quick Story
One man creates a multi-million dollar enterprise, and after ten years of work, he sells it for an extraordinary amount of multiples. He had been blessed for his hard worked and rewarded accordingly. The man then handed a select 10 employees a ‘bonus’ check for 5 million dollars, each! Those employees has been with him since the beginning and he felt they were definitely deserving of such a reward as well. The company was sold, and each went their separate ways.
(that would be one BIG bonus check!)
Anyone would expect that several years later, if the man were to call anyone of the 10 employees, they would stop what they are doing and pick up the phone straight away. However, in this case, no one would take his call.
Reason: Each and everyone of the 10 that was handed a giant bonus, thought that they deserved more. They each knew how much the owner made off the sale, and figured the amount they were given was far too little.
